Anna Chapman AKA Anya Vasilievna Kushchenko Born: 23-Feb-1982 Birthplace: Volgograd, Russia
Gender: Female Race or Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: Spy Nationality: Russia Executive summary: Russian sleeper, Illegals Program One of the ten Russian spies rounded up by the FBI in late June 2010. Held in United States custody for just twelve days, Chapman was delivered into Russian hands as part of a prisoner exchange in Vienna on 9 July.
The daughter of a KGB officer, she is presumed to have been trained by the Russian foreign intelligence service SVR since age 16, in 1998.[1] At 19 she seduced a British citizen into marrying her, gaining dual citizenship, but after three or four years they separated and Chapman emigrated to the United States. She worked first at a hedge fund and then in real estate, ostensibly receiving $1M in Kremlin investment in February 2010.
As part of her cover, she published her resume on LinkedIn and maintained a Facebook account, which featured her dabbling in glamour modeling, leading the press to caricature her as the ring's femme fatale. The candid defusion and deportation of the ring indicatesthat they had not yet gathered any meaningful intelligence when they were found out.
