Uptown Girls (15-Aug-2003)

Director: Boaz Yakin Writers: Julia Dahl; Lisa Davidowitz; Allison Jacobs; Mo Ogrodnik Music: Joel McNeely Producers: Allison Jacobs; John Penotti; Fisher Stevens Keywords: Comedy Molly Gunn is the daughter of a rockstar, now in her 20s, who has never had to work a day in her life. Her accountant has absconded with her sizable inheritance (over $100M!), and she must now find employment. After some false starts Molly accepts a job as a nanny, but her immaturity contrasts with the surprising adult behavior of Ray Schleine, the 8-year-old she's been hired to care for. Charming film is substantially better than most of this ilk.
