ABSTRACT Successful English mystery author Sarah Morton suffers a nasty case of writer's block interfering with the completion of her latest literary offering; seeking inspiration and a change of scenery, she accepts publisher John Bosload's offer to stay at his estate in the south of France. Conservative, uptight Sarah's world is rocked in a bad way when she comes into contact with John's promiscuous daughter Sarah, sparking a conflict leading to a chilling series of events influencing the contents of her next novel.
REVIEWS Review by Michael Apalategui (posted on 23-Nov-2007) This is definitely a writers film. It is about a novelist struggling to write yet another best selling novel. Plagued by writers block, she takes to the country in France at her publisher's get-away home. There she meets up with his 21 yr old daughter, who inspires not only her next novel but another one as well. The ending is quite the surprise and should not be discussed until after it is seen.
Charlotte Rampling is superb in her role, as is Judivine Sagnier. It is definitely worth watching just for the many incredibly sexy scenes with Sagnier who will keep your attention locked in waiting for the next shot of her.
Loved the movie! It was a real sleeper that woke me up...Definitely see it!
Michael
