Lawrence Talbot, part-time lycanthrope from The Wolf Man, has warned them of the pending danger; Dracula gets loose and must find the brain of a "simple man" for the Monster. One of the best Abbott & Costello films, and despite the comic elements, one of Universal's best horror films. Entered 2001 into the National Film Registry.

CAST REVIEWS Review by Kathy Grin (posted on 20-Oct-2007) This 1948, Black and White, comedy/horror, movie is 83 minutes long, and is suitable for kids from 5 to 95.
All will enjoy the "(monster)ous" messes that Lou Costello gets himself into. Bud Abbott increases these hilarious effects, as he strong-headedly disbelieves the often speechless, arm waving attempts, of Lou Costello to warn of each monster's existence.
'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' is a top of the line comedy... and for a wonderful bonus, it also has built in chills... chills, brought on from the performances of the original monsters which are featured in this film, as well as our memories of seeing them in other movies, when we were younger.
Casting did a wonderful job when they acquired the best of the best, such as "The Wolfman"(Lon Chaney, Jr.), "Dracula" (Bela Lugosi), and the very best "Frankenstein's Monster" ever, (Glenn Strange)... Vincent Price even sneaks in for an appearance... (or is that, 'non-appearance'?) ...as the "Invisible Man".
Whether it is Halloween or Valentines Day, this movie is a true 'must see'... so, rent, buy, or borrow it from a friend, pop the corn, grab the kids, then snuggle in and enjoy!
