ABSTRACT Thoroughly unexceptional construction foreman Emmet suddenly has his humdrum life turned upside down when a mysterious artifact is unearthed at his job site, instantly transforming him into a fugitive on the run. In due course our protagonist is made aware of a doomsday plot threatening the world, along with the fact that Emmet is the only one capable of stopping it. The story is told through immersive computer animation, convincingly rendered in a stop-motion style. Clever and fun with genuine humor, this is entertainment for adults and children alike.
