Heroes for Sale (17-Jun-1933)

Director: William A. Wellman Writers: Robert Lord; Wilson Mizner Keywords: Drama Tom Holmes is an everyman who seems to get all the bad breaks, but never lets it dampen his spirits. Set in the WWI/Depression time frame, well-made though with the plot meandering somewhat. Among other films of its era, this pre-Code production leans decidedly to the left and as a "social conscience" effort it is sometimes compared to I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang (1932).
