Two young Spanish boys struggle through days spent at a Franco-era parochial school.

ABSTRACT
Enrique and Ignacio are two young men and best friends growing up under the authoritarian rule of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco. Their complicated friendship navigates through a number of twists and turns, seeing the pair through their development as individuals schooled at a strict Catholic institution, their first sexual encounter with one another, and Ignacio's questionable relationship with their principal and literature teacher. The men eventually go their separate ways, leading to a dramatic encounter well into their adulthood in post-Franco Spain.
